Pharmacodynamic Properties	Triclabendazole is a benzimidazole. It binds to tubulin impairing intracellular transport mechanisms and interferes with protein synthesis. Triclabendazole is specifically active against Fasciola, Fascioloides and Paragonimus. Triclabendazole is specifically effective against all 3 stages of Fasciola. The unique efficacy against early immature and immature stages makes it particularly useful for the treatment of outbreaks of acute and subacute fasciolosis and for the strategic control of Fasciola infections.
